AI chat or a LinkedIn workspace: which fits your workflow?
Choose based on the job you need completed. A general AI assistant may be enough for an individual draft or an explanation. A dedicated workspace is worth evaluating when maintaining context across content, leads, conversations, and follow-ups becomes the difficult part.
Start with a real task
Write down the full task, not just the first output. “Write a post” ends with a draft. “Use LinkedIn for business development this week” may involve planning the post, reviewing it, responding to questions, recording context, and remembering an agreed next step.
General AI products and their connected tools change. Check the exact plan, connections, permissions, and capabilities available to you before deciding what a category of tool can or cannot do.
Compare the whole path
- Context: where do your business brief, writing examples and source facts live?
- Freshness: how does the tool obtain the latest conversation, and how can you verify it?
- Review: can you inspect and edit work before an external action?
- Records: where are contact stages, promises and due dates maintained?
- Completion: how do you distinguish prepared work from published or sent work?
- Requirements: what needs a browser extension, a connection, or a particular device?
Test two working sessions
In the first session, prepare a post from an approved source note and writing examples. In the second, return to a conversation and determine the next appropriate action. Record the information you have to copy, the corrections you make, and any steps you cannot verify.
Use the same source material in each tool. Do not compare a carefully configured workspace with an AI assistant given no context, or a mature tool with an incomplete demonstration.
When a general assistant may be sufficient
If your work is occasional, you already maintain a reliable contact process, and you are comfortable moving the necessary context between tools, a general assistant may meet your needs. The voice-brief prompt provides a practical starting point.
When to evaluate Authos
Authos’s launch offer brings content, lead capture, a LinkedIn inbox, a built-in CRM, and AI-prepared next actions into a connected workflow. Evaluate that workflow against your own task, including sync coverage and the approval boundary.
Public access is planned for mid-November 2026. If you need to begin immediately, factor that timing into your decision. Review the product overview and the CRM evaluation method before reserving.
